#ObamaCare’s Rationing Blueprint: AP & Left Wing Bloggers Complete the Circle - Big Government #repealit #tcot #tlot #teaparty

but what does that mean? In the case of Avastin, which has been shown to actually work, the FDA is just saying that the average extension of life of 6 months just isn’t meaningful enough. That is the new rules of the game. The dealer always wins Once the rules have been changed, the shills move in. The Associated Press takes the new subjective language intended to lead people to believe the drug is being de-labled because it doesn’t work and in turns that into actually false information saying that “recent studies finding that the drug did not extend patients’ life spans and also increased the incidence of side effects and other complications.” Patently false."... http://biggovernment.com

Dems will bring up #DISCLOSE again in Sept & wage propaganda campaign in interim #tcot #tlot #teaparty
"Reid spokesman Jim Manley said Tuesday that the majority leader “intends to revisit the issue at some point later in the future.” A House Democratic aide close to the negotiations on the bill echoed what Senate staffers had earlier suggested: The Senate should return to the issue in September giving voters and independent groups time to pressure on-the-fence senators during the August recess, while also drawing attention, closer to Election Day, to Republicans’ “siding with corporations.”“Quite frankly, I don’t think it’s a bad idea to bring this up again in September, when you give it a chance to crystallize the position of Democrats as standing for the public’s interest and Republicans [as standing] against it,” the aide said. “You let this vote sit out there for six weeks in these senators’ states — there are a lot of good government groups where this is their top priority — and you build an aggressive campaign highlighting these senators’ vo

Update! Dems will still push #DISCLOSE act even if they loose today's vote #tcot #tlot #teaparty
..."That said, operatives and aides working on the bill pledged that Tuesday's vote -- should it fail -- wil not be the last attempt to move the bill forward,"This is not going to be the final decision point on this legislation," said one operative who is working on the DISCLOSE Act's passage. "If cloture is not achieved, this battle is going to go forward and there will continue to be a major lobbying effort with the view that we think there are real possibilities that we can get a negotiated agreement by the end of this process."....

From the Washington Independent:
...."Obama and fellow Democrats finally feel confident that they’re on solid political ground. The populace might be divided on the merits of the stimulus package, health care reform and the financial regulatory overhaul, but polls show that 85 percent of Americans worry that corporations have captured too much influence in the political system today and 77 percent think Congress should support measures to limit the amount U.S corporations can spend to influence elections"...
..." But campaign finance reform groups are confident that even if the bill doesn’ pass, there will be political repercussions for Republican senators who choose to vote against it. And that just might encourage Democrats to keep bringing it to the floor until enough of their colleagues across the aisle change their minds"...
..."Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), a DISCLOSE Act co-sponsor who participated on the call, made a special effort to single out Collins for her previous legislation she partnered with Wyden to sponsor as far back as 1996. And several advocacy groups banded together in Maine to call in and write letters to the two senators’ offices urging them to support the bill"...
...."As a result, even if the DISCLOSE Act doesn’ muster 60 votes on Tuesday, both McGehee and Gilbert predict that Democrats will feel the political wind at their backs and raise the issue again before midterms, most likely in September. "....

RRD:We can take two things away from this:
1.The DISCLOSE act is not dead & will likely not be dead until 2012,(it will take years for the bill to get to the High Court, all the while Tea Party groups will be silenced protecting both the Dems & the RINOS.)
see also:
http://theneointellectual.wordpress.com/2010/06/29/the-disclose-act-plays-dea...
2.We must be on guard against the possibility that the Dems will approach Brown,Snowe & Collins etc with a non-partisan DISCLOSE act,one that protects incumbents in general. No doubt this will be accompanied by warnings about the divisive & destructive nature of the Tea Party, that it will destroy the GOP,& prevent us from "moving forward",& "getting things done".
"Why,(insert RINO),You will be the savior,"modernizer",(whatever),of the GOP."
.."You'll...be the Teddy Roosevelt of the 21st Century!..
"The Lincoln who bound together the nations wounds..."
"With malice towards none..."
And so on.
None of those mentioned as key votes opposed the bill on the grounds that it violates Individual Rights. This is not a academic point. If they are opposed to the bill only because it is "unfair",they may be willing,(as I noted),to vote for a non-partisan bill that protects them,(in their own minds at least).
