RRD: You see he took a gun to work & that is why the Second Amendment does not protect the 2.5 million law abiding gun owners who own AR-15s who HAVEN'T killed ”a lot of people”. Never mind that the Second Amendment was intended to permit the people to rebel IF the government became a dictatorship.The Founders had a long & bitter debate--over whether the Congress should be permitted to maintain a standing Army AT ALL (fn1). There was no debate over whether the Federal government had the right to outlaw guns. It didn't.

Yes I know that Giffords was shot. Do you know what the fact that Giffords was shot means? That she gets to go around advocating that the rights of innocent people be violated because she was shot,while the rest of us bite our tongues & pretend that we think that she is a saint because she was shot & pretend that being shot makes you virtuous & subject to different moral standards than anyone else.
In the attached photo you can see Giffords shooting a AK-47 (badly). Giffords was shooting it because even though she supposedly believed that only the military should own them,she needed to deceive her constituency into thinking that she supported the Second Amendment.

Now that ”rebellion” against the NRA is ”in season” she & her husband have ”changed their views”. There is a word for this:opportunism.
Nor is Giffords' statism & hypocrisy limited to guns: she supported Obamacare but nonetheless has no problem with availing herself of the life saving medical care which she would deny to the serfs who pay her salaries.
So no I am not terribly impressed by Giffords. Give me the testimony of someone who at least is not a professional liar ( i.e. a politician). Footnotes: fn1.
